Master Of Ceremonies
You might consider Styles P a hip-hop traditionalist. In an era where swag chants and on-camera spectacles weigh heavier than lyrical substance, the self-proclaimed hardest rapper in the game insists on staying true to the art form. Its why the LOX rhymer is celebrating the essence of hip-hop with his fourth proper solo album, Master of Ceremonies. 'An emcee will give you something you can take home, something you can think about, wordplay,' the 36-year-old wordsmith explains, citing one of the four original hip-hop elements. 'Practically anybody can rap, but not anybody can be an emcee. There aren't too many more of us left.' Styles new album continues his tradition of hard, New York-centric tracks, emphasizing grade-A lyricism and a street-conscious perspective. He kicks things off with the lead single 'Its Okay,' a back-and-forth lyrical sparring with Jadakiss, and the catchy, head-nodder 'Harsh' featuring Rick Ross and Busta Rhymes.
